Stephen Follows is an award-winning writer and producer based in the UK.

He runs the production company Catsnake Studios and the distribution consultancy Access Film Markets.

Stephen has recently produced the feature film 'The Grind' staring Jamie Foreman, Danny John Jules and Zoë Tapper featuring music by Sway. He has produced over 30 short films, many of which have been screened on television and at film festivals worldwide, including a selection in the ‘Top Ten’ at Cannes Short Film Corner.

In addition to his own projects Stephen also acts as a Consultant Producer, advising on the development and distribution of feature films and all aspects of short films. He has taught filmmaking in a variety of different situations from intensive weekend courses to classes of schoolchildren.

Stephen is the Festival Director of the Super Shorts International Film Festival, held every year in July. Over the last six years Super Shorts has given away over £16,000 in cash and a further £10,000 worth of prizes. Nearly 800 films have been screened in over 100 venues across the UK and all events are free of charge.

Stephen was the Editor-in-Chief of Short Cuts magazine which featured interviews with filmmakers, experts and experienced crew who share their experiences and advice on all areas of short filmmaking from script to distribution. The printed magazine was distributed free to 1000’s of UK filmmakers and an online version will be available soon.

Stephen is also a professional comedy writer having written for BBC Radio 4, ‘Newsrevue’ and ‘The Treason Show’.
