Stephen Follows is an award-winning writer and producer based in the UK.

He runs the production company Catsnake and the distribution consultancy Access Film Markets.

Stephen has produced two feature films, most recently ‘Baseline’ staring Jamie Foreman, Dexter Fletcher and Gray Stretch and represented by Moviehouse Entertainment.

He has produced over 30 short films, many of which have been screened on television and at film festivals worldwide, including a selection in the ‘Top Ten’ at Cannes Short Film Corner.

In addition to his own projects Stephen also acts as a Consultant Producer, advising on the development and distribution of feature films and all aspects of short films. He has taught filmmaking in a variety of different situations from intensive weekend courses to classes of schoolchildren.

Stephen is the Festival Director of the Super Shorts International Film Festival, held every year in July. Over the last six years Super Shorts has given away over £16,000 in cash and a further £10,000 worth of prizes. Nearly 800 films have been screened in over 100 venues across the UK and all events are free of charge.

Stephen was the author of ‘The Little RED Book’ a free guide to RED filmmaking and which has been authorised and endorsed by RED. Last year Stephen was the Festival Director of the Super Shorts International Film Festival and the Editor In Chief of ‘Short Cuts’ magazine. Stephen also writes for Moviescope magazine on issues relating to Producing.

Stephen served on the Executive Committee of the New Producer’s Alliance until December 2009 .

Stephen is also a professional comedy writer having written for BBC Radio 4, ‘Newsrevue’ and ‘The Treason Show’.
